Counselling for Adults

When Life feels Difficult

There are times in life when things can feel overwhelming, difficult to understand, or simply no longer feel the way they used to. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, grief, changes in identity or self-esteem, or simply feel that you have lost your sense of direction.

You don’t have to wait until things reach crisis point to seek support. Therapy can provide a space to pause, reflect and make sense of what you are experiencing.

How Therapy Works

Therapy provides a confidential and supportive space to explore the thoughts, emotions and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing. Together, we can explore areas such as identity, self-esteem, relationships, life changes, loss, stress, body image, changing roles and the expectations that can influence how you see yourself and your life.

Therapy is not simply about managing difficulties or getting through a challenging period. It can also provide an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, reconnect with what is important to you, and consider what you want for the next stage of your life.

How Therapy Can Help

Therapy provides a space to explore the emotional and psychological impact of this transition without judgement. Together, we can explore identity, self-esteem, relationships, body image, changing roles and the expectations that can influence how women feel about themselves during this stage of life.

This is not about simply "getting through" menopause. It can also be an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, consider what you want for the next stage of your life and discover new possibilities.

How Creativity Can Help

As an art psychotherapist, I can offer creative approaches alongside talking therapy. Art can provide another language for feelings and experiences that may be difficult to express in words.

You don't need to be artistic or creative, and there is no right or wrong way to use art in therapy.

My aim is to help you feel heard, understood and less alone, while supporting you to reconnect with your sense of self and move towards a more fulfilling next chapter.
